Position at Child Advocates: Advocacy Coordinator / Team Leader

Five key job responsibilities: (1) supporting a team of amazing AC's ( 2) having the privilege, really, of working with a group of volunteers who give so much and work so hard to make a difference (3) hiring and training the best and brightest to be Advocacy Coordinators (4) promoting the mission of CAI to other organizations and the community at large (5) being part of the movement towards one day serving every child in Harris County who needs an advocate.

The best thing about my job is...
"... being part of an organization that is completely mission focused.  It doesn't matter whether we are talking about fundraising, IT, marketing or strategic planning, the mission to serve every child who needs a volunteer is always in the forefront.”

My coworkers make me...
"... proud when they tell me a story about how the volunteer on their case was able to really make a difference. I never stop being amazed about how this continues to happen on such a frequent basis. Everyone should spend a day in a family courts and listen to the cases being presented to the family court judges. The ones where there is a court appointed advocate are the ones where you really see progress being made.”
