HOUSTON-(December
22, 2003)-The annual Angels of Hope Luncheon
and Neiman Marcus Fashion Presentation,
benefiting Child Advocates, Inc. kicked
off this year's holiday social season with
a crowd of more than 500 at the Westin Galleria's
Grand Ballroom.
Chaired by Philamena Baird, this year's
luncheon honored longtime Child Advocates,
Inc. supporter and philanthropist, Lucile
B. Melcher whose generous contributions
have helped provide critical advocacy and
vital services for 30 severely abused and
neglected children. The luncheon raised
$200,000 for Child Advocates, Inc.
One of the highlights of the luncheon was
the Neiman Marcus fashion presentation which
featured St. John's new couture line and
included a special appearance by St. John's
signature model and chief executive officer,
Kelly Gray.
This year's luncheon and fashion presentation
is being lauded as one of Child Advocates'
Inc. most successful Angels of Hope Luncheons
and Neiman Marcus fashion presentations.
