For nearly three decades, the Friends of Child Advocates have served as a major fundraising arm and volunteer base for our organization. Our members have volunteered countless hours and raised over $6 million to help break the cycle of child abuse.
How can I become involved?
Through the Friends of Child Advocates, you have the opportunity to contribute your time and talents in a variety of ways. We offer daytime, evening and weekend opportunities. Whether you have five hours a month or five hours a week, you can find a worthwhile and rewarding way to use your skills. You can also support Child Advocates by making a tax-deductible donation to the Friends.
As a member, you will receive the quarterly Friends e-Newsletter and Child Advocates’ bi-annual publications. In addition, members receive invitations to membership socials and other events throughout the year.
How do the Friends help abused children?
Friends members play a pivotal role in helping abused children through various fundraising events and volunteer opportunities…
Many of the Friends also provide leadership to Child Advocates by serving on organizational committees such as the board of directors, advisory board, development committee and the Friends’ Governance Council.
