What is your role with the Friends? I have served on the Governance Council for five+ years. I have been Hospitality Chair, served on the Membership Committee and also on the Children's Event Committee. I also served as Chair of the Auction Committee for the Angels of Hope Luncheon several years back.

What's life like outside of Child Advocates? I am married and am a stay-at-home mother to my daughter. I am very involved in Hadassah as well as the Shlenker School. In my spare time I like to play mahjongg.

Tell us something unique about yourself that others may not know: A cat vet set up my husband and I on a blind date. We will celebrate nine years of wedded bliss this September!

How I became involved with Child Advocates: My mother-in-law, Shirley Dimmig, was a court appointed volunteer and brought me to the organization. I started at an Advocacy University and realized I was not "tough" enough to handle it. So, wisely Shirley introduced my to the Friends.

The highlight of my experience as member of the Friends: I love everything I do with them, but must confess the back-to-school shopping spree has a special place in my heart. It is so wonderful watching the children experience something that we take for granted.
