About Child Advocates

From our CEO

For more than four decades, Child Advocates has stood alongside children in foster care during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. What began with a small group of committed volunteers and a belief in the power of advocacy has grown into a strong, compassionate organization dedicated to ensuring abused and neglected children are seen, heard and protected.

I am deeply grateful to the people who have helped build this organization and who continue to make this work possible today.

First and foremost are the volunteers who serve as court appointed advocates, visiting children regularly, remaining a consistent and trusted presence throughout their time in foster care. Because of their commitment, children are not left to navigate the system alone during one of the most uncertain times in their lives.

I am also grateful to our board and advisory board for their leadership and stewardship of our mission, and to our entire staff who carry this work forward every day with care, skill and integrity. Finally, and with deep appreciation, I thank our donors, individuals and foundations, whose generosity makes our advocacy possible.

Our work is far from finished, but it is filled with purpose and hope. While we are proud of the impact we make, we continue to receive referrals for court appointed advocates, and our goal is to serve every child in need.

This requires more than hope; it requires action. More trained volunteers. More sustainable funding. More people willing to step into this work alongside us. Whether you are called to become a court appointed advocate, make a financial contribution or support our mission in another meaningful way, your involvement helps shape what is possible.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Child Advocates, for supporting our organization and for caring about the well-being of children in our community.

Sincerely,
