Court-appointed advocates give a voice to children in foster care in Harris County (Houston, Texas) who have experienced severe abuse and neglect. They gather information and make recommendations to help judges decide what is best for each child.
Advocates are a consistent support and familiar face during this unstable time in a child’s life. Through their personal relationship with the child and extensive research on the family’s circumstances, they speak to the child’s best interests, helping guide the child into a safe, stable home.
