Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care
Come hear a presentation led by Carolina Fuentes and learn about trauma, traumatic stress and its impact in children and families, as well as the key principles of the trauma-informed care approach. This interactive training will help you:
- Define and understand the impact of trauma
- Become familiar with trauma-informed principles
- Identify specific ways to apply the principles in a variety of settings with adults and children
- Have resources to later further your knowledge and skills on the topic
Carolina holds a BA in Religion and Environmental Studies from Baylor University where she also graduated with a Master of Divinity and Master of Social Work.
Carolina is a licensed social worker, has been a refugee case manager, a child abuse and exploitation prevention education specialist, a children’s hospital social worker, a trainer for various topics in mental health and a volunteer court appointed child advocate.
