Valuing Diversity as a Court Appointed Advocate

Join us for a grad school presentation led by Esteban Mayers, Master Trainer with Harris County Protective Services.

Houston is the most diverse city in the country, and foster care, by nature is culturally diverse. Children are placed in new homes where expectations and communication styles may be different from their previous homes. Come hear a review of cultural sensitivity and a discussion of values and emotional issues associated with diverse backgrounds, as well as interactive case studies.

5:30 PM - Registration and Dinner
6:00 PM - Presentation
