In January 2019, Collaborative Family Engagement (CFE) was implemented in Harris County. CFE is an innovative Family Finding partnership between Child Advocates and Child Protective Services (CPS). CFE is built around the idea that every child has family and other connections that can be identified, located and engaged. CFE establishes a true team between Child Advocates and CPS to build networks of caring, safe and positive people for children and their families.
Join us for a presentation led by Advocacy Coordinator Allyson Buckner as we explore the CFE family finding tools that can be utilized by advocates, and explore ways in which we can identify family connections for the children we serve.
