Annual Events

We understand that you have a choice when it comes to selecting which organizations to support with your time and your dollars. While not everyone chooses to become a court appointed advocate volunteer, you can make a significant impact for Houston's abused children through our annual events. We rely on community partners like you to make these events possible through your sponsorships and volunteer efforts.

Sponsorship and volunteer opportunites are available for the following annual events:

  • Chevron Houston Marathon - January
  • Car Pros for Kids - February
  • Pull for Kids Classic - May
  • Childspree - August
  • Child Advocates Superhero Run  - October
  • Volunteer Appreciation Event - November
  • Children's Holiday Party - November
  • Angels of Hope Luncheon - December
  • Santa's Wish List - December

Why Get involved?
Our children. Children of all ages, races and socioeconomic backgrounds. Children with irresistible grins, vivid imaginations and incredible potential. All of them sharing one unfortunate trait — each one has been a victim of life-threatening abuse or neglect.

Our volunteers. Busy would be an understatement. They make dinner, entertain clients, drive carpool, walk the dog, hit the gym, coach soccer, manage employees, take vacations and watch reality television – just like everybody else. What sets them apart is that, despite their busy lives, they make time to volunteer as a court appointed advocate and impact the lives of abused children.

Our reputation. Since 1984, we have emerged as a leader in the ongoing fight against child abuse. We have built a solid reputation as a diligent steward of your funds. Our cost-effective volunteer advocacy model allows us to provide necessary services to children in custody with minimal expenses.

Our need. We are a private non-profit organization. This means that your donation is absolutely critical to the existence of our program. We receive minimal federal and local funding and we are not a United Way agency.
