Our advocate volunteers work countless hours to make a difference in the lives of the children they serve. This event is an opportunity for Child Advocates to honor, encourage and appreciate our court appointed advocate volunteers.
Each year we present two awards:
James A. Gwinn Volunteer of the Year award (JAG), Child Advocates' highest honor, celebrates a volunteer who has shown independence, the ability to work with everyone on a case and who is instrumental in their casework.
Rookie of the Year award (ROY), honors a new volunteer who proves to be a valuable asset to Child Advocates within their first year as a court appointed advocate.
