Honoring Amanda and Jon Weeks at the Pull for Kids Classic

 

Child Advocates is overjoyed to announce that the 2024 Pull for Kids Classic will honor longtime supporters Amanda Worthy Weeks and Jon Weeks. Child Advocates’ largest annual fundraising event, which raised a record-breaking $850,000 last year, will be hosted on Saturday, April 27, 2024, and will raise critical funds to sustain their mission of giving a voice to foster children in Houston and guiding them into safe homes.

 

Amanda has served on the advisory board since 2019 and in 2017, co-chaired the annual Angels of Hope Luncheon. For the past 12 years, Amanda and Jon have hosted an annual holiday shopping spree for children involved with Child Advocates. As a long snapper for the Houston Texans for the past fourteen years, Jon is a beloved figure in our community. Year after year, Jon has chosen Child Advocates to be his charity of choice for the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign, which has brought awareness about the non-profit to the Houston community. He has been a force for good, and this year, the Houston Texans selected Jon as their Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee. This prestigious nomination recognizes his passion for impacting lives beyond the game and leaving a legacy in the community. Together, Amanda and Jon have been fierce advocates in their own right and have made a remarkable difference for children who have been abused and neglected.

 

Child Advocates’ signature fundraising event will kick off in the morning with a sporting clays tournament at American Shooting Centers. In the evening, Bayou City Event Center will be packed with hundreds of guests enjoying a live auction, dinner, and dancing with an inspiring story from Child Advocates. Sponsorship opportunities are available, ranging from $1,750 - $50,000. With your support, Child Advocates will use these funds to break the cycle of child abuse and continue providing hope in the community.
